Amber was surrounded by her bridesmaids and some other close family members when I arrived. She was calm, collected and 95% finished her transformation into a blushing bride with the help of Macy for hair and makeup. I took her dress and other details outside to photograph with lots of natural light!
There was a threat of rain for this October wedding weekend, but I never got the vibe that it really bothered the bride or the groom. I think they knew as long as they ended up married that’s all that mattered. The rain stopped before I even got to Trinity Lutheran in Victoria, TX and it held off for the rest of the day. It was a bit humid, but the wind picked up and blew that away. The wedding weather we were left with was optimal Fall weather; chilly and brisk! No sweating or shivering. It was fantastic!
Once all the details were photographed Amber got into her dress with the help of her bridesmaids in a small chapel that was vacant at the time. I am obsessed with her Morilee by Madeline Gardner gown with its delicate lace and sweeping train that she got from The Bridal Rail.
Jared arrived just in time to put him in place for the first touch. A first touch, if you aren’t aware, is like a first look only the couple only hold hands before the ceremony and so there is no looking! After the first touch we put Amber back into hiding until the ceremony.
The ceremony was the perfect length and the Pastor put in a few puns during the sermon that my punny heart loved! Amber got teary eyed seeing her future husband down her walk and Jared looked at his bride with such love it would make your heart swell! They were announced as husband and wife, kissed, and made the walk out of the church as husband and wife hand in hand with smiles a mile wide!
Their intimate dinner at The Victoria Art League was the perfect fit for their friends and family. Amber’s cake was alternating tiers of red velvet and amaretto while Jared opted for a chocolate cake. Both were made by Love Birds who makes super delicious cakes! Maroon, navy and gold are perfect fall wedding colors and all the decorations, florals and details go with it so well! Jared, I still love that your tie was maroon with navy threading!
They ended the night with a bubble send off and that has GOT to be my new favorite of all time!!
Amber + Jared, thank you again for having me be apart of your big day and I hope to run into you or family here in Seguin soon!
