As I get older this quote cannot be further from the truth. I feel so fortunate that the true friends I have are there because they add extra value to my life. I don’t think my life would be ask fulfilling if they were not there. Each friend adds a different element to my life and then there are a very select few that I can honestly say add almost everything. I can say I have so many friends I adore for different reasons, but I can count on one hand the ones I couldn’t live without. These friends I consider more like sisters. I could be left on a deserted island with anyone of them and not be too concerned about if a rescue team is on the way. They are there when I want to joke, vent, cry or punch someone in the face. I think it’s such a great thing to have at least one relationship of this kind in one’s life and I don’t know how I got so fortunate to have more than the one.
