I have known Shannan since our 6th grade Social Studies class. We bonded over art and anime. We didn’t have any classes together in high school so we made new friend circles, but she stayed one of my longest and greatest friends so it only seemed right for me to ask her to be one of my bridesmaids in 2010. She accepted and saw fit at returning the gesture by asking me to document her and Wallace’s big day.
Shannan and I don’t have the same religious beliefs, but I’m happy to say that has not diminished our relationship. When she approached me about the ceremony and we discussed details I was a little nervous about her Pagan wedding. It was a first for me and I was unfamiliar with the order of events. The unknown is a scary thing for a photographer when you need to anticipate what your client is going to do next. With that being said I feel accomplished and really love how their photos turned out.
The brides’s father contributed GORGEOUS orchids for decoration!
They put a lot of effort into the details of their wedding and a lot of things were DIY.
Look at this beautiful alter they arranged!
Not to mention the couple’s beautiful custom matching rings!
It was a simple and relaxed ceremony
Shannan got a little emotional when her and Wallace exchanged self-written vows. It was so touching.
The kiss…
…and no Pagan ceremony is complete without a jumping of the broom!
Oh and some of the most delish gluten-free cupcakes I have ever had!
Shannan, you and Wallace are so adorable together and I wish you two loads of years of love and laughter!
Looks like y’all have the laughter part under control!
